As the movie opens we learn of the abduction of a woman with the mind of a child and as investigations proceed it takes the police in the direction of the sex industry and the illegal trafficking of prostitutes.

Starring Frank Wolff as a introspective and liberal police officer, the film concentrates far more on the dialogue and drama without any of the moments of excess we would traditionally associate with giallo. However, in my attempts to distance this feature from the mainstream gialli given that it is so different in approach, it must be remembered that the film does possess the key element of mystery.
