Giovannona Long-Thigh / Giovannona coscialunga, disonorata con onore (1973)

When a river is polluted with chemicals that would usually be found in paints the source of the leak is traced to a cheese factory where the only thing edible is their brochure. The owner of the factory attempts to enlist the support of a devout politician by appealing to his taste for the wives of others. To do this they hire a stunning call girl named Cocò played by the ever glamorous Edwige Fenech to act as the wife of a factory owner.

It all seems to be going well as Cocò is given a makeover but as soon as she opens her mouth and the expletives tumble out, setting us up for a My Fair Lady type scenario, it becomes clear that this may not be the perfect plan.

Giovannona Long-Thigh is a Sergio and Luciano Martino vehicle for Edwige Fenech that marked a change of pace from the numerous Martino gialli that Fenech appeared in. With music by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis and cinematography by prolific Eurocrime director Stelvio Massi Giovannona Long-Thigh is a real treat. It is pretty funny.

There is a brief appearance for To Be Twenty and Midnight Blue star Vincenzo Crocitti as a train conductor.
