Django Kill... If You Live, Shoot! / Se sei vivo spara (1967)

Now this is another really odd movie from Giulio Questi who brought the world Death Laid An Egg. Django Kill... If You Live, Shoot! is not reallty anything at all to do with Django. The international title was to cash in on the success of the Sergio Corbucci film.

From the opening it becomes clear that this is no ordinary western. It is pretty experimental in a psychedelic sort of way. It is surreal and occasionally gory.

Starring Tomas Milian as the stranger with solid gold bullets and a debut role from Ray Lovelock this is a film that will really appeal to the lovers of psychotronic fare.

Witness Milian being tortured with an iguana and some bats while being crucified, a prophecy from an alcoholic parrot and an exploding horse in this mind boggling tale of greed. It's all pretty far out.
