Hanna D. / Hanna D. - La ragazza del Vondel Park (1984)

Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo is a really good film. The clichéd Hanna D. tries to enter the same territory but fails spectacularly. Hanna D. is a pretty bad film. The film is very grotty and probably has some appeal to fans of ultra sleazy trash cinema as there is plenty of nudity and drug taking however the film does not work as a drama for the simple reason that it is impossible to care in the least about any of the characters.

The cinematography for Hanna D. is by Franco Delli Colli who also worked on Zeder. Zeder looked nice but Hanna D. doesn't and amongst the alleged drama we get to see a close up of a someone pulling drugs out of their arse. It seems as though that is where this film came from too.

Hanna D. was edited by the late Bruno Mattei who decided to leave in a shot of onlooking members of the public waving into the camera during the romantic finale and thus managing to eclipse the ineptitude of all that went before. Avoid.
