Danger: Diabolik / Diabolik (1968)

5.0 out of 5

Colorful, stylish, lots of fun, and full of eye candy, Mario Bava's comic adaptation Danger: Diabolik features John Phillip Law in the lead role as a thief who wants to 1) please his lady, and 2) witness and possibly cause the downfall of the British government. Diabolik dons a black mask, moves with the ease and finesse of a ninja, and has a loyal lady on his arm, resulting in a super-cool anti-hero for the ages. Danger: Diabolik is a lighthearted and somewhat comedic film with a slight Robin Hood influence and anarchic undertones. Highly recommended for those looking to suspend their disbelief and enjoy a fun movie from one of Italy's greatest filmmakers.
