This is another super-sexy Giallo directed by Sergio Martino and starring Edwige Fenech. In the film, Fenech plays the bratty niece of a struggling writer and alcoholic who suffers from some sort of Oedipus complex. Her character shows up to stay with her uncle and aunt, played by Luigi Pistilli and Anita Strindberg respectively, in the midst of their marital problems, and her arrival coincides with a string of murders in the surrounding town at the hands of a black-gloved killer. Your Vice Is A Locked Room is a very over-the-top but extremely stylish Giallo that features your typical Giallo conventions, not to mention taboo sex, lots of scenery-chewing, an unfriendly black cat named “Satan”, and a completely out-of-nowhere head scratching finale. Not the most thought-provoking Giallo ever, but recommended nonetheless for its great cast and style.
