Virgin for the Prince, A / Una vergine per il principe (1966)

4.5 out of 5

Medieval mayhem and manic matrimonial mirth ensues when a Lothario of a prince is compelled to prove his prowess in order to marry for the sake of royal line when his virility is brought into question.

Farcical and at times incredibly funny A Virgin for the Prince not only trades on it's ingenious premise and strong writing but is further enhanced by the comedic genius of Vittorio Gassman and the incredibly talented and award winning co-star Virna Lisi.

Pasquale Festa Campanile, the man behind the exceptional road trip thriller Hitch Hike, writes and directs and the film also stars Vittorio Caprioli, the mystic charlatan Nazariota in To Be Twenty, and also the frightening man of Frightened Woman fame Philippe Leroy. Excellent.
