So Darling, So Deadly / Kommissar X - In den Klauen des goldenen Drachen (1966)

4.0 out of 5

In one of the weirder Kommissar X films, neither Brad Harris or Tony Kendall, and the characters they play seem to be taking things seriously at all, and the result is delightful. With Captain Rowland having plenty of time to waterski and Joe Walker enjoying the local girls, the mission of protecting a professor in Singapore and preventing his deadly laser invention from getting into the wrong hands starts to feel fairly unimportant. Nonetheless, despite all of the meandering, things do eventually happen, with the heroes usually taking a very whimsical approach at dealing with trouble, such as cackling madly while staving off a group of attackers with fire hoses.

Like in Kiss Kiss, Kill Kill, the henchwomen are plentiful; looking very cool while firing off machine guns. Also, Harris is graceful at doing his own stunts, and not too shy to let loose either, as the scene involving his hilarious dance floor moves should be one-for-the-ages.
