Django against Sartana / Django sfida Sartana (1970)

2.0 out of 5

With many, countless, unofficial sequels and rip-offs of Django made after Sergio Corbucci's legendary masterpiece it was only a matter of time before someone had the idea to pit him against that other main spaghetti western stalwart; Sartana.

Django,Tony Kendall finds his brother Steve, John Alvar, has been hanged after being caught during a bungled robbery with his accomplice Sartana, George Ardisson, who has gotten away. Of course it's all set up and Django and Sartana team up and go after the real cuplrits.

This doesn't really do justice to either character's official movies, with little or no character traits carried over, except Sartana's mini handgun and Ardisson and Kendall are certainly no substitute for Gianni Garko and Franco Nero respectively, but the plot is at least half engaging and there is a certain enjoyment in seeing the two characters team up to defeat the bad guys.

Not without some merit but check out the official films before giving this one a look.
